Qassam Brigades communiqué

 On assassination of the Qassam field commander in Jenin district

 “Among the Believers are men who have been true to their Covenant with Allah: of them some have completed their vow (to the extreme), and some (still) wait: but they have never changed (their determination) in the least”

Hope arises from the bleeding wounds … victory, heroism and sacrifice arise from the blood of martyrs … resistance continues and rages as a result of their martyrdom … one generation after the other … until our banner is hoisted up high over our beloved Aqsa and our cherished land.

From the land of Qassam, the land of resistance and heroism, from the Qassam Jenin we bear the glad tidings, with hearts full of satisfaction with the fate of Allah, on the martyrdom of the field commander of the Qassam Brigades in the Jenin district:

Iyad Khalil Mousa. 21, better known as “Abu Leil” from the Jenin refugee camp.

Big numbers of Zionist Special Forces and border guards surrounded the house in which the Mujahid was stationed in the vicinity of Jenin municipality. They asked him to give himself in but he refused thus drawing a fresh image of Qassam heroism after an armed clash with the Zionist forces. He inflicted several casualties in lines of the attacking force before his martyrdom.

We in the Qassam Brigades would like to affirm the following:

First: This crime of assassinating our commander will not pass unpunished. We swear by Almighty Allah that our revenge will be very painful.

Second: We promise the Qassam martyr and all martyrs of our people that we will continue along their march, which they drew with their pure blood, until liberation of all our usurped Palestinian soil.

And it is a Jihad until either victory or martyrdom
