Qassam Brigades military communiqué

Our Mujahid Palestinian people:

With the grace of Allah the Qassam Brigades declare responsibility for ambushing a Zionist foot patrol in Deir Al-Balah area (Gaza Strip) behind Ukaila gas station at 2.50 am Sunday 16^th Thul Qi’da 1423H – 19/1/2003AD. The Qassam elements opened machinegun fire and hurled a number of hand grenades at the eight-member Zionist patrol that was guarding the Gush Qatif settlements complex.

Our group returned safely to base after its members ran out of hand grenades and bullets.

Eyewitnesses affirmed that the Zionist enemy suffered casualties and added that they saw blood of Zionist soldiers on the ground along with their military equipment.

The Qassam Brigades would like to affirm insistence on Jihad and resistance march.

 And it is a Jihad until either victory or martyrdom
