9 October 2002 In the name of Allah the most Gracious the most Merciful To brothers in the Fatah Movement Dialogue and not threats our way of settling
differences within Palestinian lines Our Mujahid patient people At a time when the Zionist enemy is directing strikes to our stationed people’s children, elderly and women, the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, calls on our revolting Palestinian people to continue along the road of Jihad and resistance. We also invite our brothers in the Palestinian Liberation Movement, Fatah, to distance themselves from the policy of escalation as far as internal strife was concerned. Our Palestinian people will only gain bitterness from such policy taking into consideration that the enemy is still targeting us all and employing against us destruction weapons supplied by the American military establishment. We are in dire need these days to stand united in one rank to persist in our people’s intifada and brave resistance in face of the common enemy. Based on our realization of the sensitivity in
the internal situation and out of our keenness on unity of the Palestinian
ranks and to defuse tensions, we would not pursue the method of threats.
This has never been our method. We have always preserved unity of our
internal front despite the pains inflicted on us. To complement this
stand, which we consider a strategic one, we met yesterday with our
brothers in the Fatah Movement. We were all hopes to reach an agreement
that would extinguish flames of strife and we thus tabled the following
important points: 1- We affirm our keenness on defusing tensions, ending all forms of conflict and halting the accompanying media campaign. 2- We affirm our stable policy against feudal fighting and against the policy of assassination. 3- We affirm that only dialogue should prevail and not any other means. 4- We affirm that we back the rule of the law in all cases in which law is applicable, we also support boosting the doctrines of justice, transparency and bringing to account those charged with any misdemeanor. 5- We affirm our keenness on continuing meetings with our brothers in Fatah Movement to resolve this problem. We in the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, still hope that the Fatah Movement would accept those points that could solve this problem away from threats, charges and insults. We are one people confronting one enemy and our battle against that enemy was not over yet. The land is still occupied, Al-Quds is still desecrated and aggression, with various forms, is still ongoing. “Truly Allah loves those who fight in His
Cause in battle array, as if they were a solid cemented structure.” And it is a Jihad until either victory or martyrdom The Islamic Resistance Movement – Hamas |
