Hamas statement on the Khan Younis massacre

Out of denunciation of the new Zionist massacre in Khan Younis city in which 13 martyrs fell in addition to more than 80 wounded persons, a responsible source in the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, stated the following:

The occupation forces’ new crime against our unarmed people in steadfast Khan Younis affirms occupation’s terrorism, bloody nature and savagery. It also reveals a desperate attempt on the part of our enemy to break our people’s determination and insistence on continuation of resistance until ejection of occupation.

We in the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, condemn this savage carnage that targeted our people’s civilians. We question this suspicious silence on the part of international forces, institutions and leaders who usually quickly condemn our people’s resistance and legitimate self-defense. But they are tight-lipped when our people are the victims and the Zionist Nazis are the culprits. Such silence affirms before our people that there is no other solution except continuation of resistance and retaliation to Zionist crimes through qualitative heroic operations.

This massacre, despite its infliction of severe pain in lines of our people, will increase our people’s insistence on persistence of resistance. The Hamas Movement calls on military wings of all Palestinian factions to retaliate to this brutal massacre. And let Sharon and his government and usurping entity know that our people will not be defeated and will not surrender God willing and they will continue along the road of resistance and Jihad until victory. “And soon will the unjust assailants know what vicissitudes their affairs will take!”
