Explanatory statement by the Qassam Brigades

Miraculous survival of commander Mohammed Daif from assassination attempt

Our Mujahid Palestinian people … our Arab and Muslim Ummah:

The Qassam Brigades bear the glad tidings on miraculous survival of the Mujahid commander Mohammed Daif from certain death when American-made Zionist Apache helicopter gunships targeted him at noon Thursday 19^th Rajab 1423H – 26/9/2002AD. The commander was in the targeted car along with the two martyrs Abdul Rahim Hamdan and Issa Baraka when missiles were fired at them. Commander Mohammed Daif was slightly wounded while his two brothers the Mujahideen Abdul Rahim Hamdan and Issa Baraka were martyred.

The Qassam Brigades congratulate relatives of both martyrs on the honor of their martyrdom and congratulate our Arab and Muslim Ummah on the survival of the commander Mujahid Mohammed Daif, may Allah preserve him. We would like to affirm here the following:

- The retaliation to the Sheikh Radwan massacre and the attempt to assassinate commander Mohammed Daif would be painful after the Qassam Brigades finish the revenge for the massacre in Daraj, Shuja’iah and Zaitun suburbs.

- Commander Mohamed Daif is in good health, all praises to Allah, and is in safe place among his brothers the Mujahideen.

- Declaring that commander Mohammed Daif was not in place of the incident was due to security conditions to ensure safety of the commander.

- The Mujahid commander Abu Khaled (Mohamed Daif) vows before Allah then our people and Ummah’s masses to persist along the road of Jihad … Allah has healed our breasts and humiliated the Zionist criminals.

And it is a Jihad until either victory or martyrdom
