HERE is your "collateral damage" America.

This Yugoslavian woman was murdered by cowardly American/NATO pilots. This is the true face of NATO's "humanitarian intervention." There were over 3000 other murdered women, men and children like her.

Most were far more horribly mutilated. Many people were decapitated or had arms, legs, hands and feet severed by American cluster bombs. Many people were burned alive by napalm and fuel-air bombs. At least 9000 more human beings were injured or severely maimed by these American weapons of mass destruction dropped by American/NATO pilots. Many of the victims are children, now crippled for life.

Many people were exposed to the radiation of the 100,000 rounds of American depleted uranium bullets and missiles that were fired by NATO pilots. Because of this there will be a lot of cases of leukemia and cancer among the Yugoslavian population in years to come. British experimental biologist Roger Coghill warned a 1999 London conference (convened over the use of DU by American/British forces during the Gulf War) that its use against Serbia would likely result in 10,000 fatal cases of cancer.

American/NATO pilots assaulted the entire nation with over 40,000 sorties, dropping approximately 20,000 tons of bombs — more tonnage than the Nazis dropped in all of World War II. American/NATO pilots butchered and burned alive thousands of innocent people — children, old men and women doing their shopping in market squares, civilian people travelling in trains, people in private cars and city buses, people working in television stations, people in schools, people in churches, doctors and patients in hospitals, people in private homes and apartment blocks — even remote villages were napalmed and cluster bombed.

Besides murdering civilian people, American/NATO pilots targeted the entire infrastructure of Yugoslavia. They hit the chemical factories at Pancevo repeatedly on 23 different days, blasting them with at least 56 bombs or missiles, keeping it more or less constantly on fire. A cloud of poisonous smoke stretched 15 kilometres (over 9 miles) and lasted for ten straight days at one point. The toxic fumes choked and suffocated the thousands of people who were unfortunate enough to live in the area. Tons of poisonous chemicals leaked into the Danube river. All the fish in the river were killed.

The ground in and around Pancevo is now saturated with ammonia, mercury, naptha, acids, dioxins and other toxins that leaked and burned out of the factories.

Contrary to the complex of lies routinely spun by NATO spokesmen, the main targets of the bombing were definitely not the Yugoslavian military. This is attested to by the fact that the massive NATO air assault of 40,000 sorties succeeded in destroying a grand total of 14 tanks, 20 artillery guns and one or two jets of the Yugoslavian Air Force.

Instead of military targets American/NATO pilots hit power plants and power lines, television and radio towers. When the main Yugoslav T.V. station in Belgrade began to broadcast coverage of the growing number civilian casualties, American/NATO pilots bombed the T.V. station, murdering everybody inside.

Ah yes, America, champion of Free Speech.

On April 9th, American/NATO pilots bombed the Zastava automobile plant at Kragujevac, murdering all the workers inside in cold blood. Just as with Iraq, where American/British state terrorists singled out dams and water treatment plants, American/NATO war criminals selected targets intended to destroy the Yugoslavian economy and cause massive terror and suffering to the entire civilian population.

NATO pilots also destroyed every bridge they could find in the country, including ordinary highway bridges, railroad bridges and bridges far too small to be of any military use. Such as the bridge at Vavarin.

In that particularly sadistic assault, a NATO pilot bombed the Vavarin bridge even though it was filled with people and cars on a market day. The bridge collapsed, people and cars fell into the river. Immediately people from all around rushed onto the bridge to rescue the wounded and retrieve the dead. But the NATO pilot was not finished. Waiting until the bridge was full of rescuers, he came around for a second pass — and slaughtered many more people.

One of the murdered rescuers was the local Christian minister. He was beheaded by shrapnel from an American cluster bomb.

Socialist Serbians vs. Capitalist Americans

And yet, incredibly, while all these atrocities were going on, even many bourgeois capitalist liberals in America and Europe were supportive of it. Or else they were deafeningly silent. And these are the same liberals who rightfully damned the U.S. military for the Vietnam genocide! What happened to their consciences in the intervening years? They've truly sold out.

Ralph Nader, for instance, wrote 69 weekly columns from the start of the bombing in March, 1999 to the summer of 2000 before his Presidential campaign. Yet he never saw fit to mention the carnage in Yugoslavia once. And they call him a "David" against the corporate "Goliath"? What a disgusting joke.

All these people could have turned off their lying TVs and tuned in to the Internet and found out what was really happening. But they didn't. For some perverse reason they chose to believe the massive propaganda campaign of the corporate media which had demonized the Serbs since 1992. You'd think the liberals would know better. But no, they're just as stupid, gullible and dishonest as conservatives. Well it's time to turn off your TVs, people! Get a clue!

The real reason Milosevic is demonized and portrayed by the corporate mass-media as a war criminal is because he is a Socialist. Being a Socialist makes you a "bad guy" to the venal capitalist corporations which own the U.S. government.

The following excerpt from a famous speech provides an example of who Milosevic really is:

"Socialism, being a progressive and just democratic society, should not allow people to be divided in the national and religious respect. Yugoslavia is a multinational community and it can survive only under the conditions of full equality for all nations that live in it. Equal and harmonious relations among Yugoslav peoples are a necessary condition for the existence of Yugoslavia."

The corporate capitalist mass-media also portrayed Milosevic as a "rabid nationalist." On the contrary, the truth is that he simply believed in Yugoslavian independence from the United States.

The Serbian people also wanted freedom and independence from any and all foreign powers. So they were demonized too, just as the Jews were demonized by the Nazis. The corporate capitalist mass-media portrayed the Serbs as a bunch of raping, "ethnic cleansing" mass-murderers. The corporate capitalist mass-media demonized the entire nation of Serbian people because they supported their democratically elected President and shared his desire for independence from American tyranny.

Now they know. There is no escape from American tyranny — not as long as America remains the supreme military power in the world.

The American/German lie campaign

"Mass rape camps"

The stories of mass rape camps for instance, were an absolute, unequivocal pack of dirty lies. This strategy of using charges of bizarre atrocities to fuel American mass-media propaganda was used before, and it will be used again. It was used against the Iraqis to get public sympathy for the state terror campaign known as "Desert Storm," a campaign in which American, British, French and Saudi pilots murdered 200,000 civilian people. The story was put out in the corporate mass-media that followers of "evil Saddam Hussein" marched into Kuwaiti maternity wards and ripped thousands of infants right out of their hospital incubators. It was proven months later to have been a bizarre lie, told by the daughter of the Kuwaiti ambassador to the United States.

In the same way the lie was spread by the American and German corporate mass-media that Bosnian Serbian soldiers committed "50,000 to 100,000 rapes" of Slavic Muslim women and girls in "mass rape camps." Not only is that unbelievable number highly improbable logistically, but the exact locations of these "mass rape camps" have never been found. Nor have any witnesses or victims ever been found.

One wonders where American and German government agents get the ideas for these bizarre lies. From their own sick fantasies perhaps?

Sick though it was indeed, the scam worked perfectly. The Bosnian "mass rape camp" stigma helped mobilize world opinion in favor of sanctions against "fiendish" Serb followers of the "evil" Slobodan Milosevic.

There can be no doubt that rapes did occur, by soldiers on all sides of the conflict. Serbian women were systematically raped, tortured and humiliated by Bosnian Muslim soldiers and Croatian soldiers. But T.V.-brainwashed people in America don't care about Serbian women.

American soldiers commit the crime of rape all the time. Soldiers always rape women during war, and often in times of so-called "peace." It is an evil crime and the filthy criminals who commit it should be punished severely. But all people who commit rape should be punished.

The "Racak massacre"

The story of the "Racak massacre" is another example. In January 1999 corporate mass-media stories claimed that the "nasty evil Serbs" shot over forty innocent, peaceful Albanian villagers from the Kosovo town of Racak in a mass execution. In fact Racak was a stronghold of the terrorist KLA (an Albanian narco-mafia that called itself the "Kosova Liberation Army") and there had been a firefight between the KLA and the Serbian army the day before.

William Walker, a sinister former officer of the U.S. State Department's Latin American division, staged the "discovery" of a "mass grave" for the benefit of corporate T.V. cameras. Yet no Serb military or police unit could be identified at the perpetrators.

Walker has a long and bloody record as a U.S. operative specializing in support for guerrilla wars against governments targeted by the State Department and Pentagon for destabilization. In the 1980s Walker was in charge of an operation based at Ilopango Air Base in El Salvador to smuggle weapons, ammunition and other supplies into Nicaragua to the perverted, homicidal psychopaths known as the Contras.

After all this time it still has not been proven that the bodies in Racak were actually local villagers rather than dead KLA soldiers from the battle of the day before. But the damage has been done. To this day millions of people still think the Serbs committed a mass-murder at Racak.

"Mass graves" in Kosovo

During the American/NATO terror campaign the story of the death toll among Yugoslav civilians began to get out through the Internet, bypassing the usual mainstream media blockade. People began to get horrified and angry about the butchery NATO was committing against civilian people — men, women and children. So to neutralize public sympathy for the innocent Yugoslavian victims, the corporate mass-media began circulating stories that the Serbs had murdered "100,000" Albanians in Kosovo.

When NATO troops finally occupied Kosovo they couldn't find any mass graves. Spanish medical examiners were called in to search. Still no mass graves. NATO spokesmen then cut their "estimates" by 90%, saying the Serbs must have killed, oh, let's say "10,000" Albanians. That's another nice, round number with lots of zeros. Yet still nobody could find any mass graves. Finally, after months of searching, the medical examiners found about 2,800 bodies in many small graves widely scattered all over Kosovo. Many of the bodies were found to be Serbians. And after 40,000 NATO sorties over 79 days and nights of bombing it is highly likely that many of the people in the graves were killed by NATO itself.

The search for "mass graves" was a total, unmitigated farce. And yet even this made no dent in the dense semi-consciousness of apathetic Americans! The vast majority of Americans are paying no serious attention whatsoever to what their viciously evil government is up to. It's absolutely incredible.

Contrary to what they think of themselves, Americans are the most politically ignorant people on the face of the Earth. Pulling the wool over their eyes is a piece of cake.

The CIA, Germany and the KLA

Here are some background facts which most Americans will never know because they'll never see it on the corporate-controlled network news on TV, their sole source of "information":

Contrary to American/German corporate capitalist propaganda, most Serbians do not hate ordinary Albanians. The Albanian KLA, however, is a different matter. The KLA narco-mafia are known terrorists and smugglers of cocaine and heroin. They are the primary conduit for Turkish heroin to the European market. They are now also involved in a massive sex-slave trade in occupied Kosovo. American soldiers and other so-called "peacekeepers" are the primary customers.

Before the NATO terror campaign the Yugoslavian Army was in fact engaged in a war with well-armed Albanian KLA guerrillas in Kosovo. The CIA and the German government supplied the KLA with all the arms and training it needed. Their CIA handlers encouraged KLA terrorists to commit atrocities against Serbians and Albanians alike. For years any Kosovo Albanian who tried to live on friendly terms with Kosovo Serbians was executed by the KLA. The CIA's purpose was to provoke a reaction from the Yugoslavian Army to provide a pretext for an American air assault and invasion.

Both renegade Serbian paramilitary groups and the Albanian KLA committed atrocities against one another's people, but it was an endless war of attrition, and never on a massive scale. The Yugoslavian Army itself, however, was forbidden by the Yugoslavian government in Belgrade to pursue any such crime as ethnic cleansing, and it obeyed those orders. But the Yugoslavians had a perfect right to be fighting the brutal terrorist KLA within Yugoslavia's own borders.

The Media-Manufactured Myth of "Serbian Intolerance"

Another revealing fact which is banned from the mainstream American "news" media:

During the American/NATO terror campaign 100,000 Albanians living in Belgrade demonstrated against NATO, in solidarity with the Serbians, their fellow Yugoslavians. Another 100,000 Albanians fled NATO's bombing of Kosovo — to Belgrade. Now why would they do this if the Serbians were such racist monsters intent on the "ethnic cleansing" of Albanians?

The fact is that the Yugoslavian Serbians are actually the most ethnically tolerant of all the nations in the Balkans — precisely the opposite of the way they were portrayed in the corporate mass-media.

There are 26 distinct ethnic minorities living at peace with each other in Yugoslavia. That's a greater diversity than any nation in Europe, let alone the Balkans. It has been a long-standing tradition for people from the different ethnic groups to intermarry in Yugoslavia. Jews and Roma (Gypsies), peoples who are traditionally abused everywhere in Europe, have always been treated far better in what is now Yugoslavia than anywhere else in the Balkans. Or the rest of Europe for that matter.

But, as Adolf Hitler said:

"The great masses of the people will more easily fall victims to a big lie than a small one."

Bourgeois liberal Americans and Europeans certainly proved that. The U.S. government didn't import all those Nazis into the CIA after WWII for no reason. The CIA learned a great deal from their Nazi teachers.

A little historical background...

Before the American/NATO terror campaign, Yugoslavia was one of the few nations in Europe that didn't have some sort of American military base on its soil. Now the newest and biggest American military base in Europe pollutes the Yugoslavian province of Kosovo. American war criminals actually christened their newest fortress of oppression with the sadistic-sounding name of "Camp Bondsteel."

It would be funny if it weren't so repulsive.

The anarchic American-planned coup in Belgrade on October 5, 2000 installed American-financed puppet Vojislav Kostunica as the new president, while a street mob burned the Yugoslavian Parliament and state television station.

Up to that point the Serbs had been the one and only nation in all of Europe to resist the domination of the United States after the collapse of the Soviet Union.

No wonder their symbol during the American/NATO terror campaign was a target.

Heroic and stubborn resistance to imperialist tyranny is, in fact, an ancient Serbian tradition. The Serbs fought the Nazi Third Reich in WWII. They fought the Austro-Hungarian empire before that. They fought the Ottoman Turkish empire before that. The Serbs have this historic habit of resisting slavery to evil empires. Evil empires don't like that. Including the evil corporate capitalist empire of the United States of America.

During WWII the leaders of Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Albania and Croatia welcomed the Nazis with open arms. Only the Serbs fought back as an entire nation. The Serbs formed the largest resistance movement in Europe in WWII. It's true that the cowardly Prince Regent of Yugoslavia tried to make a deal with Hitler, but the Yugoslav Army overthrew the Prince. Crowds of Yugoslavians spat on the German minister's car.

In his classic book The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich,William L. Shirer writes:

"The coup in Belgrade threw Adolf Hitler into one of the wildest rages of his entire life. He took it as a personal affront and in his fury made sudden decisions which would prove utterly disastrous to the fortunes of the Third Reich. Yugoslavia (he said) would be crushed with 'unmerciful harshness.' He ordered Goering to 'destroy Belgrade in attacks by waves' with bombers operating from Hungarian air bases."

Hitler delayed "Operation Barbarossa," the invasion of Russia, for a month while he launched "Operation Punishment" against the Serbian people. The slaughter began on April 6, 1941. Saturation bombing of Belgrade by the Luftwaffe murdered 17,000 people on the first night. The Serbians were totally surrounded by Axis powers. In a few days the entire country was overwhelmed by the Nazi blitzkrieg. But the Serbians' spirit was never defeated. Throughout the war Serbians of both the Left and Right continued to fight a guerrilla war against the Nazis and their allies — the Albanians and the appallingly sadistic Croatian Ustashi.

Hitler's delay of the invasion of Russia in order to indulge his psychopathic ego was a fatal strategic blunder. The lost month made a big difference in the war against the Russians. The brutal Russian winter of 1941-42 took a heavy toll on the German forces and marked the beginning of the end for the demonic Third Reich.

So the Germans made sure the Serbs paid dearly for their heroism. The German Nazis, Albanians and Croatian Ustashi slaughtered over 1 million Serbian people from 1941 to 1945.

The Serbs were staunch allies of the United States and rescued 527 American bomber pilots and crewmen who were shot down behind enemy lines. In contrast, the Croatians and Albanians routinely shot at and killed American pilots whenever they got the chance.

The Germans were totally ruthless animals. In one incident German soldiers forced a group of Serbian women and children into a large barn and set it on fire, burning them all to death. This was the punishment for not telling the Germans where the Serbians were hiding American pilots.

And how do we repay the Serbians? We slander them for years with dirty lies and impoverish them with sanctions, and then bomb them in a massive terror campaign. We murder the children and grandchildren of the very people who saved American lives. Today's U.S. Air Force pilots may have even murdered some of the very Serbians who saved the lives of American pilots in WWII.
